Installing the dual dash cam or 3 channel dash cam can be simple if you follow these steps.
Step 1: Gather Your Tools: You will need dual dash cam/3 channel dash cam, rear cable, adhesive mounts, a power cable, and a tool to tuck wires (like a trim tool).
Step 2: Mount the Front Camera Choose a spot behind your rearview mirror. Clean the area with alcohol to ensure good adhesion. Attach the camera using the adhesive mount.
Step 3: Route the Power Cable Hide the cable along the headliner and down the A-pillar. Use the trim tool to tuck the cable into any crevices. Connect the power cable to your vehicle's power source, usually the 12V socket.
Step 4: Mount the Rear Camera Choose a location on the rear windshield, just below the top edge. Clean the area and attach the rear camera.
Step 5: Run the Rear Camera Cable Route the cable from the rear camera to the front. Ensure it follows the same path as the front camera cable.
Step 6: Test the Setup Power on your dash cam system to ensure both cameras work. Adjust angles as needed to get clear views.
Tips: Make sure the cameras do not obstruct your view while driving. Check the manufacturer’s instructions for specific features. Keep excess cable hidden and secure to avoid tangling.
